RHS Harlow Carr is a gorgeous garden to enjoy. I’m there all the time with the kids – there’s loads of family fun to be had there. They also offer a whole loads of added extras that I didn’t realise; here are four things you might not know about RHS Harlow Carr…
1.RHS Summer Advisory Service
RHS members can get free face-to-face gardening advice from an RHS advisor from 11am – 3pm on the first Saturday of each month and every Monday from 1pm – 3.30pm from July to September at Harlow Carr.
Just go to the desk in the entrance conservatory with your questions. Normal garden admission applies.
2. Live Music in the Gardens
You can enjoy live music in the garden on the following dates:

3. There are outdoor Plays going on

Outdoor theatre: Gulliver’s Travels
Join a fantastical and hilarious voyage into the unknown in this new adaptation of Jonathan Swift’s classic story. Deckchairs available for hire at £5 per chair.

Outdoor theatre: Much Ado About Nothing
The Lord Chamberlain’s Men present Shakespeare’s story of trickery, treachery and love. Deckchairs available for hire at £5 per chair.

4. They run a vast Adult Learning Programme
You can take part in a huge range of courses and workshops as part of their adult learning programme. It’s not just horticulture, but everything from garden design, crafts, photography and creative courses too! Most times you get to take what you’ve made or created home too and the cost of the materials are included in the price.
