Can you believe Harrogate Mama is over seven years old?! I set up the blog to share what’s great about Harrogate for families. These days now my Smalls are a little older, it’s transformed into simply sharing what’s great about Harrogate…for everyone!
Branding Refresh
I toy with changing the name from Harrogate Mama to Harrogate Lucy or similar. But I know that whatever happens I will always be a Mama, and the two words together conjure up the feeling I’m aiming to achieve with the blog.
With change comes the need for blog updates and tweaks and the website is constantly evolving. I’ve been working with Harrogate’s Wonder Media on some little updates and decided to update my branding photos along the way too.
Kirstie Cartledge Photography
The delightful Kirstie Cartledge got in touch to let me know all about her new photography business. Kirstie asked whether I’d like to sit for her, to help spread the word. I was excited to oblige and it has given me the opportunity to update my photos across the site and refresh my profile pics!
It was perfect timing now my hair has finally grown long enough to form much more of a style, finally!
Kirstie is a joy to work with, she’s super relaxed and friendly and really knows how to get the best out of her subjects.
I think Kirstie has done an AMAZING job, and I’m totally thrilled with the results. Kirstie has captured me perfectly, showing my authentic self, which I prize above all else. We shot on a foggy Autumnal morning and I love the atmospheric nature of so many of the pictures!

Chrys is all kinds of awesome and always does an incredible job and has the perfect combination of skills. Chrys makes me feel completely at ease whilst simultaneously creating a version of me that seems to show me at my absolute best. Ampersand
There’s also a special shout out to the lovely Ampersand (&) (on the Crown roundabout in Harrogate) for kindly letting us use their gorgeous space to shoot early on a Saturday morning. Thank you Simon, Elliot and co.
The team at The Harrogate Inn also generously allowed us to use their bar and entrance spaces to take some photos – which I think you’ll agree show the hotel in a gorgeous light!
