Hotel du Vin in Harrogate have launched a new weekend brunch menu and I was lucky enough to try it out last Saturday.
Weekend Brunch at Hotel du Vin
The C’est Brunch Package includes; pastries, fruit juice, tea or coffee, a menu item from the brunch plates selection and two cocktails or glasses of Champagne for £34.95 per person.
The setting is relaxed luxury and the service was attentive and friendly. It was quiet when we visited as the menu had just launched.
Brunch goals
I enjoyed the French Toast with berry compote, natural yoghurt and toasted granola, which was delicious. The glass of champagne was a decadent accompaniment.
My sister chose the Eggs Benedict; toasted English muffin topped with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce with smoked salmon.
Long weekend Brunches
Both were excellent choices and were really enjoyed. The lovely thing about brunch is the time you can take to enjoy it. The addition of the pastries to start makes you think of Sunday papers and peace and time to indulge in a little luxury.
I think if I could just live off brunch and afternoon tea I’d be very easily delighted!
