Get ready for an exciting adventure this October and November with the Raworths Book Trail! Set against the beautiful backdrop of the Pinewoods in Harrogate, this free, interactive QR code trail is perfect for families.
Starting Point:
Kick off your adventure at the War Memorial, which you’ll find at the top of the Valley Gardens and the start of the Pine Woods, (you might know it as the crucifix) . No booking is needed—just turn up and let the fun begin!
Your Mission:
Your challenge is to find all 10 hidden signs throughout the woods. Each sign features a clever riddle inspired by classic children’s books. Solve the riddles to uncover hidden letters and piece together a secret word!
How to Join in with the Raworths Book Trail:
- Set Off: Keep an eye out for the special signs scattered throughout the Pinewoods.
- Scan and Solve: Scan the QR codes on each sign. Have fun solving the riddles to find the hidden letters!
- Collect Letters: Write down the letters you uncover as you go.
- Unscramble: Once you’ve gathered all 10 letters, unscramble them to form the secret word.
- Submit Your Answer: Head to the ‘Answer’ page to submit your word for a chance to win prizes!
- Share the Fun: Snap some pictures along the way and share your adventure on social media. Tag @harrogatefest on X, Facebook, or Instagram, and use #RaworthsLitFest.
