There are LOADS of FREE family events coming to Ripon between 7-11 June for you to enjoy at the Ripon Theatre Festival. Plus there are a host of ticketed theatre shows at lots of venues across the city including open air shows that sound glorious!

Sense and Sensibility – Thursday 8th June 7pm, The Old Deanery, £18 (£10)
One for the Mamas! Bring your own picnic and enjoy this literary classic in a gorgeous open air setting.
Once Upon a Fairy-tale – Thursday 8th June 1.30pm and 4pm, Pay What You Can, Ripon Library
A fun-packed interactive show for little ones. This show includes games, music, puppets and lots more.
Ripon Heritage Ghost Walk – Friday 9th June 7.15pm – 9pm, Market Place, £6 (£4)
One for the Teens! Explore the darker side of Ripon’s history from the macabre to the mysterious. This walk is led by Ripon Museum Trust Guides and sounds like an evening adventure to remember!
Robin Hood – Sunday 11 June, NT Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal, 5.15pm £16 (£10) Family (£50)
This open-air theatre show in the suitably medieval surroundings of Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal is described as a ‘fast-paced heist for all ages’. It’s set to be action packed, deliver huge laughs and daring adventures!
Pop-Up events and Street Entertainment Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th June, Market Place, Minster Gardens, Arcade and Streets, FREE
There’s plenty of opportunity to take in the festival over the weekend of the 10th and 11th June by popping into Ripon to enjoy the free street entertainment and pop-up shows taking place across the city. From The Giant Balloon Show, which is set to an 80s soundtrack, to Student Mini Dramas there’s lots you’ll not want to miss!

There are a host of shows and events over the five days including; Dementia friendly performances, which include a cup of tea at the end, Twisted Tales for Terrible Children full of giggles and gasps that takes place in The Cellar and Curzon and The Little Bird Artisan Market where you can pick up tasty treats and gorgeous craft items.
