Van Morrison and Emma Bridgewater – it can only mean the Harrogate International Festival

This year sees Harrogate’s International Festivals celebrate it’s 50th Anniversary. It’s recently been announced that Van Morrison is to headline the event by playing the Harrogate International Centre on June 9th in one of only a handful of performances the star is giving this year. Tickets will go on sale shortly.

And the big name tie in’s don’t end there though for if, like me, you love Emma Bridgewater and Harrogate then what better combination than an actual Emma Bridgewater – Harrogate mug!

To tie in with the festival the designer has created a limited edition mug especially to mark the 50th Anniversary. It’s decorated in Emma Bridgewater’s classic pattern Black Toast and features details pertaining to Harrogate International Festivals’ work over the last 50 years.

The mugs are being sold at £20 each and are only available from the Harrogate International Festivals’ office in the centre of the town. Only 1000 mugs have been produced so they’re also set to be a collectable item! Each mug sold will generate £10 towards  Harrogate International Festivals’ ‘Future 50’ appeal. So owning one will give you a great feel good factor too!

I’m off of to hum along to a bit of ‘Brown Eyed Girl’ and shop for that mug  before they’ve all gone! I love Harrogate ?, seems these other big names do too!
