Jeans that make you look like you’ve dropped a dress size!

Mary Portas spoke out in the New Year about the shopping trends growing across the UK, along with Gin, Prosecco and unicorns (!), big knickers featured fairly heavily! And apparently shape wear is set to be big in 2018 too!

Mama Style!

As a forty year old Mama, I see the Millennial’s selfie-ing away in their high-waisted trousers and crop tops and look on with wide-eyes as I rush home to the comfort of my jeggings and slouchy sweater – the staple Mama outfit!

Regular Mama comfort

I love a good pair of comfy jeans

Anyone who know me knows I live in my jeans, and I do love a good pair of jeans! So when Simply Be got in touch to ask me if I’d like to try theirs I wasn’t sure internet shopping for such a ‘try-on’ item was going to work for me! However, I decided to give it a go, fully expecting to return them in the next days post!

Simply Be Extra High Waist Skinny Jeans

Remarkably though I was hugely surprised! The jeans fit me to absolute perfection – VERY rare for any pair of jeans! Even better than the perfect fit was that there were ‘on-trend’ high waisted AND shape-ware, giving the most flattering finish in a pair of jeans you could hope for! They’re fitted with shape and sculpt control denim and lift you in in all the right places!

They’re Shape & Sculpt Extra High Waist Skinny Jeans Regular Length and cost just £45 and go from a size 12 right up to a 32.

Perfect Fitting Jeans

So, if like me, you’ve been tucking your tummy into your jeans since you left the maternity ward, these will help you out no end! I’m usually a size 14 in bottoms and these made me feel like a 12! Winning!

Great for going out or staying in

I’m going to wear them to death – daywear come night wear, for it you’re not wearing Jeans and a nice top are you even going out?!

The all important jeans derriere shot!

Denim Pencil Skirt

Along with the jeans I also ordered a premium sculpt and shape denim pencil skirt which costs £35. I’m normally an A-line girl, but I thought the pencil skirt was a little more business like so wanted to give it a go. That too fits beautifully and it’s extremely comfortable to boot!

Perfect for grown-up meetings, and also with enough leg coverage for kicking around on the floor doing jigsaws with the Small Boy! Ideal! I love it!

So who knew shapewear could be so on trend in more ways than one!
