I’m beyond excited to reveal the two huge acts that have been added to the BBC Radio 2 Live in Leeds event, which takes place in Temple Newsam on September 17 and 18.

Robbie Williams

My ALL TIME FAVE Robbie Williams accompanied by the 56-piece BBC Concert Orchestra will headline the day on Sunday 18th September at Radio 2 Live in Leeds.

This is dream come true news for me, a self professed Take That lifer and huge Robbie fan! I can’t wait to see him up-close and personal at this amazing event!

Elbow

Harrogate Papa is also thrilled as Elbow, one of his go-to music legends will be performing on Saturday 17th September. To hear Guy Garvey’s voice bellowing out across Leeds is going to be incredible!

Tickets

There are still tickets available for BBC Radio 2 Live in Leeds, at the moment, so my advice is get them before they’re gone…

Saturday tickets: Elbow, Simple Minds, Tears For Fears, Craig David, Bananarama, Ella Henderson, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Kaiser Chiefs.

Sunday tickets: Robbie Williams, Nile Rodgers & Chic, George Ezra, Melanie C, Emeli Sandé, Mark Owen, Heather Small and Olly Murs.

DJ Sets

Take That’s Howard Donald will be joining the network’s presenters to perform a set in the first ever Radio 2 Live DJ Tent.

I’m hands down on my way to check out all these Radio 2 presenters including; Richie Anderson’s Pick Your Own Playlist introduced by Zoe Ball, Sara Cox’s Full Wower, Rylan’s Ibiza Anthems, DJ Spoony’s Good Groove, Jo Whiley’s Shiny Happy Playlist, Dermot O’Leary‘s Alternative Sounds of the 90s, Gary Davies 80s Mastermix, Trevor Nelson’s Rhythm Nation, Tony Blackburn’s The Golden Hour, Revd. Kate Bottley’s Wedding Disco, OJ Borg’s One Hit Wonders, and more…

Anyone who knows me will know that alongside Robbie Williams, Dermot O’Leary has had a special place in my heart, since the T4 days, so I’m defo up for staking out his alternative sounds of the 90’s set (despite having some non-alternative 90s tastes, as an obvious TT fan!).

Hear it all in Leeds

There are expected to be 30,000 music fans each day at the Live in Leeds event. Jeff Smith, Head of Music for Radio 2, says: “With Robbie Williams headlining Sunday night and Elbow joining the Saturday line-up of Radio 2 Live in Leeds – both joining what is already a stellar bill of globally-renowned artists, this is going to be a truly memorable weekend of music. Come and join us in Leeds, or if you can’t be there in person, you can see and hear the performances on Radio 2, BBC Sounds, BBC iPlayer and BBC Two.”

Also…

There’s also set to be a Robbie Williams night on BBC Two in September featuring a newly-filmed Reel Stories presented by Dermot O’Leary.

Plus the Main Stage from the event will be live-streamed on BBC iPlayer throughout the weekend, also with performances available for 30 days.
