Queen’s Jubilee in Harrogate – What’s On

We’ll be celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee in Harrogate, with an extended Bank Holiday weekend from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June.

Her Majesty The Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee.

Here’s what’s on where for the Queen’s Jubilee in Harrogate so you can take part in the local celebrations…

West Park Stray  – Family-Friendly Fun-Fest

Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday – FREE!

West Park Stray in the centre of Harrogate will be transformed into a family-friendly fun-fest to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.  Taking place over the four days of the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend there will be live music, family films and live broadcast of the main events taking place in London.

So bring a picnic and a blanket and settle in for a weekend of summer fun.

Jubilee Square will be a place for families and friends to bring a picnic and watch the events happening live in London via our big screen.  Join us for this fantastic opportunity to celebrate a magnificent day with a variety of fun events and activities.

Valley Gardens – Jubilee in the Gardens

Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday -FREE!

Four days of free family fun in Harrogate’s iconic Valley Gardens will take place.

With a mix of live open-air music, family entertainment and activities, demonstrations and fairground rides the Valley Gardens will become the hub for jubilee family fun over the whole weekend.

In addition, an artisan market will run in the valley gardens from Friday 3 June for the whole weekend offering a selection of produce, crafts and plants, all under the idyllic setting of the Sun Colonnade.

The fun-filled event is free and will see a mix of magicians, juggling shows, character meet and greets, fairground rides, face painting, a climbing wall, live music performances and mini discos.

Harewood House – Queen’s Jubilee Weekend and Food Festival

Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday – Family tickets from £44.00

Harewood is celebrating the occasion through indoor and outdoor displays, charting the Queen’s historic reign and her visits to Harewood. Visit the House and explore a brand new display, Queen Elizabeth II: Celebrating 70 years

There’ll also be plenty of royal-themed activities throughout the Jubilee weekend, with royal biscuit decorating, family crafts and a very special jubilee afternoon tea.

The Great British Food Festival is returning to Harewood this year over the Jubilee weekend. There are also kids cookery events to get involved with (tickets £4 each).

York Spring Fair and Food Festival

Friday 27th May – Sunday 5th June – Tickets start from £5 (under 12’s free – excludes rides and games)

York Spring Fair & Food Festival returns to the Knavesmire for its second year this May, bringing together one of the largest vintage funfairs (£3 a ride) seen in North Yorkshire, Entertainment and a Food Festival which will showcase a range of artisan products.

Open from 10.00am daily at the Clocktower Enclosure, York Racecourse.
Closes 9pm Fridays and Saturdays, 7pm Sundays and Monday to Wednesday, 10.30pm on Thursday 2nd June.
