Harrogate Halloween and Bonfire Round Up

Looking to find out where and when the Fireworks displays are locally? Here’s a round up of the Halloween and Bonfire Night Excitement around Harrogate this year.

Stockeld Park – Fright Night and Bonfire Night

If you’re looking to be VERY scared this Halloween then you can check out Stockeld Park’s Fright Night from 27th to 31st October. Tickets are from £20

I was invited to the media preview for this event but declined as I’m too much of a scardy cat! Yikes – this is recommended for 12+ (so don’t take the Small Smalls!)

Stockeld also have their Firework display on 5th November at 5.30pm prompt. Tickets are £6 per person

Harrogate Stray Bonfire

This has been a part of my Bonfire Night since I was a Small myslef – this year it’s on Oatlands Stray as usual on Saturday 4th November.

Stray FM Build Up from 6pm
Bonfire Lit – 6:30pm
Fireworks – 7.15pm

Knaresborough Castle Spooktacular Day – Saturday 28th October

The Castle is open from 11am – 4pm daily. £3.50 adults, £2.50 concessions, £2 children. Family ticket £10 (5 people, 2 adults max)

Archery at 11am – 3.30pm. £2 per go

Create your own swords, shields and arrows from 12.00pm – 2.00pm, £1.

Macabre Masks – 11.00am – 1.15pm. £3 per mask. Drop in but with bookable time slots on the day 11am, 11.45am and 12.30pm

Fearsome Faces – special effects techniques and your very own horror makeup consultation! Drop in but with bookable time slots on the day.
2.00pm – 4.00pm. £3

Ghoulish Guests – This event is for over 8s ONLY and all children must be accompanied by an adult! 4.45pm – 6.15pm or 6.30pm – 8pm. £5 children, £2 adults. £15 family of 4.

Book your place for an evening of eerie entertainment! Unravel the mystery of the Castle ghost on our treacherous trail, Mummify your friends or beat them at Beastly Bingo in the museum. Crunch a cockroach and taste the witches’ brew in the refreshments area, play Halloween games in the Castle and guess what’s in the feely boxes. Check out the creepy crawly dungeon and Halloween installations and don’t forget to enter the Creepy Costume competition.

Bolton Abbey Bonfire and Fireworks

Bolton Abbey are delighted to host their annual bonfire and firework display by the banks of river Wharfe in the shadows of the Priory Ruins.

Wrap up warm, and be entertained by fire eaters and traditional fairground rides. The evening will end with a dazzling firework display.

Tickets are £10 Adult and £7.50 Child age 4 – 16 (children aged 3 and under are free of charge and do not require a ticket). Gates open at 5:00pm

Fireworks at 6:45pm

They say; Park in Riverside Car Park. Wear sturdy shoes and wrap up warm. Fire eaters, jugglers will start at 5pm. Hot and cold refreshments including alcohol beverages will be available. A number of catering vans will be serving hot food. The bonfire ticket does include admission to the Bolton Abbey Estate during the day.

Lightwater Valley

Lightwater Valley are holding their Fantastic Fireworks over the lake on Saturady 4th November where their 15 minute “Best of British” firework show is set to be dazzling. You can also enjoy entry to the park on the same day too. Ticket details are online.
